How TreHunter handles personal information.
Last updated September 4, 2026. This policy explains how TreHunter, Inc. collects and uses information from clients, candidates, and website visitors.
Information We Collect
TreHunter may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, company, title, hiring needs, career background, LinkedIn profile, résumé details, and messages submitted through this website or by email, phone, or LinkedIn.
We may also collect basic technical information about website use, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps. This information helps keep the site secure and understand general usage.
How We Use Information
TreHunter uses information to respond to inquiries, evaluate search engagements, represent candidates with permission, communicate with clients and candidates, maintain professional relationships, improve the website, and comply with legal or contractual obligations.
Candidate Confidentiality
TreHunter does not submit a candidate to a client opportunity without that candidate’s permission. Candidate information is handled with discretion and shared only as needed to evaluate or pursue a specific opportunity, or as otherwise authorized by the candidate.
How Information Is Shared
TreHunter may share information with client companies, candidates, professional advisors, service providers, or authorities when necessary to provide services, operate the website, protect rights and safety, or comply with law. TreHunter does not sell personal information.
Contact Form Protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish ordinary visitors from automated traffic. Cloudflare processes technical browser and device signals for this check. We also keep keyed fingerprints of email addresses and inquiry text, plus submission timestamps, in a private Google Cloud database to limit repeat submissions. The abuse checks use a rolling 24-hour window; expired records are removed through database retention controls. Inquiry text is stored separately from these fingerprints for confirmation and delivery; PDFs are stored in private object storage.
Security and Retention
TreHunter uses reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect personal information. Information is retained for as long as needed for recruiting, relationship management, business, legal, or compliance purposes.
Your Choices
You may ask TreHunter to update, correct, or delete information you provided, subject to legal and business recordkeeping needs. You may also ask not to be contacted about future opportunities.
California Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information. TreHunter will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Contact verification and abuse prevention
Each inquiry requires an email confirmation. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated submissions and temporarily retain keyed fingerprints to enforce submission and email limits. Confirmation does not verify a person's identity.
Pending inquiry text and optional PDFs are stored privately in Google Cloud. Unconfirmed inquiries expire after 24 hours. PDFs are checked for malware after confirmation; unscanned or infected files are never forwarded. Completed attachments are deleted within 24 hours after delivery, and operational inquiry records expire after seven days. Scheduled cleanup may run up to one hour after expiration.
We use a locally hosted classifier trained on synthetic examples to assign a diagnostic text score. It does not independently block inquiries. We do not use submitted inquiries or résumés to train this model. Content-free operational metrics are retained for 30 days. Messages already delivered to our email mailbox follow our ordinary correspondence retention practices.
